2009 CSA MEMBERSHIP FORM
o Blooming Patches Farm sells annual memberships for the community to share in the farms harvest each year.
o Memberships are a set price (full membership at $300.00 or ½ memberships at $150.00) for the year. a deposit of at least $75.00 with the forms to be in by the end of January each year. Memberships most be paid in full by May 15th – your membership is non-refundable.
o Your Membership entitles you to the best Produce, Herbs and Cut Flowers I can produce on the farm to fill your Membership. It will be as fresh as being picked the night before pick up and that morning.
o Your CSA Membership is like a pre-paid credit card or gift card. Membership is pre-paid then throughout that growing season as you pick up your produce, herbs and cut flowers the value is deducted from your membership.
o It is up to you as a Member to regularly pick –up your produce through the season. There is No Carry Over from Year to Year of Unused Membership Value and No Cash Out at the end of the Season if not completely spent.
o You will receive a Ledger with Your First Payment toward Membership. You may keep your own records & I will keep a ledger of your payments and deductions of produce, herb & cut flowers here at the farm.
o Becoming a CSA Member does Not give you any Ownership of the farm or free use of any land, equipment or buildings on the farm. Your Membership only gives you a “Share” in this year’s produce, herbs & cut flowers.
o Your Membership gives you a Voice in what you would like to see me plant on the farm. Of course you take the chance as I do that it will not grow or grow well. I will do my best something’s may be new to me and have to learn as the season goes on.
o You Most Keep an eye On Your Children while at the farm. There is farm machinery they could get hurt if climbing on (please keep children from climbing on machinery) as well as a very Busy Fast pace main Road close to the house. Our Family Rule Has Always Been NO CHILDREN IN THE FRONT YARD. Also – Watch the Drive Way as when many Members are coming at one time It is EASY to not see a small child walking in the drive. When it is not extra wet out you May Park in the North Lawn anywhere.
o I (Blooming Patches Farm) am obligated to plant as much as possible on the farm and do my best to grow the most Nutritious, fresh produce, herbs and flowers for You Members. I shall make as much as possible available to Members only extra to keep from having to through it out will be sold to any non-Member.
o The Farm does Not have extra Insurance or the Income to Support Members as farm Workers. This year you as a Member will have the working part of – Packing up your order and recording what you have purchased onto your Ledger here at the farm. I will have everything packaged on pick up day in 1#, 3# and 5# bags or in 1oz., 3oz. , 8oz. bags. Melons, Squash, Pumpkins may have to be weight on day of pick up. Ledgers will be on the wall in a mail file type of cubby hole. This will keep a better record taking up less paper and time.
