Would like to Get the Word Out

Hello everyone I do not do this but, this year these issues affect me very much. I know there are way too many Federal laws about too many things in our life that the government is trying to change and do it too fast right now.
I would like you to go to some of these sites I am going to list on here and you can decide how you feel about the issues. TIME IS RUNNING OUT AS IT WILL BECOME LAW AFTER THE 13th SO PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO BE HEARD PLEASE SPEAK OUT NOW.
There are several parts of this farm bill that worry me and if they go through could stop me from farming any more. As many small farms will not be able to cover all the extra cost. Which this is why I would like you to take a look as it will effect you as consumers also.
If all the new federal/state laws go into effect - NAIS (tagging of all livestock with chips to be tracked - from chickens up to horses an cows, premise registration). They fail to tell you there has always been records for tracking livestock at the large industrial/ranch level these are the animals that go to feed lots, slaughter houses to go from state to state, school to school, overseas, across our boarders. But, what has been needed is more testing for sickness, enforce better conditions for the livestock and slaughter houses. But, the same department that has now been spending billions of our dollars to get this new tracking at the seat of their computer always said they didn't have the man power to enforce / lack of money-
Registering my premise changes my rights as a land owner - not for the good.
I will not do the above if it comes to that - which means I will be one of the many many farms that will no longer be able to have livestock -- no eggs, no meat.
Every time we have had food health problems in the USA - it has been shipped in foods, or from large industrial farms and packing companies. They are working hard to put us small local farms out.
There are also more laws they are trying to pass you may want to look at when you are on these sites -- they are on zapping all our fruits, veg. & meats. Watch as they have been doing some foods coming into USA and the label is very very small to tell you. This is something they want to change they don't want to have to label so you will not know.
One good site is Organic Consumers Association
One more site is FarmandRanchFreedom.org
If your children have animals they plan to take to the fair or shows these new laws will effect you too.
Thank you for taking the time to look at this but, we need consumers as well as us farms/ ranchers/ backyard livestock owners to speak out and try to be heard. I don't want to have to give up my animals and produce. If everything goes through us small farms will be out of business, no farm markets, local fresh foods at your local store, no roadside markets.
Thank you again, Barb

I BELIEVE THIS YEAR I WILL HAVE OUR CSA MEMBERS POT LUCK THE SECOND SUNDAY OF JUNE. THIS WAY MAYBE THE WEATHER WILL BE NICER AND WITH LUCK SOME STRAWBERRIES WILL BE READY THEN. I KNOW SOME HERBS, GREENS AND CUT FLOWERS WILL BE.
SOME HERBS, GREENS AND CUT FLOWERS START AS EARLY AS APRIL SO START WATCHING THIS BLOG CLOSER IN ABOUT 5 WEEKS.
REALLY AM LOOKING FORWARD TO A GREAT YEAR THIS YEAR AND WILL BE GREAT TO SEE ALL THE MEMBERS FROM THE PAST AND ALL THE NEW FACES.
I WAS OUT IN THE GREEN HOUSE AGAIN TODAY STARTING MORE SEED. THE OREGANO, BASIL, THYME SEED HAS STARTED TO COME UP. NEW GROWTH ON THE MINT AND TARRAGON HAS STARTED. CHIVES SHOULD BE STICKING IT'S NEW SHOOTS UP SOON. EARLY SPRING FLOWERS ARE GREEN COMING UP. AS WELL AS SOME NEW GROWTH ON THE ROSEMARY I WINTERED IN THE GREENHOUSE. SO I AM HAPPY -- NEW CHICKS ARE ORDERED TO COME IN MAY WHICH MEANS I WILL HAVE SOME YOUNG CHICKEN TO SELL IN JULY.
