Cheese orders - Membership changes & Forms

Hello Everyone to start with I am taking Cheese orders at the bottom of this I have listed the cheeses and price per pound. If there is a cheese you want I don’t have listed just ask as they may have it just that they get it from one of the other cheese houses they work with which some are no hormone no antibiotics like Middlefield is and some are not.

IT IS THAT TIME AGAIN – I NEED YOUR DEPOSIT FOR 2009 AS I AM SENDING MY ORDER FOR SEED THIS MONTH HAVE ALREADY STARTED SOME SEED IN THE GREEN HOUSE. By Feb. I have to start many more and it keeps going from there. I at last have all ledgers up to date and am sending personnel e-mails to each of you tonight.

I have made some changes for the 2009 season memberships

1. Memberships are for Produce, Herbs, Cut Flowers, Edible Flowers only (produce is all veggies, greens, melons, rhubarb, root crops and more)

2. Berries, Fruits, Eggs, Chicken Meat, Home Made Bake Goods(by order), Local Cheese (by order), our handmade bees wax candles, soaps, wood fret work, jams and jellies WILL BE CASH AS IN ONLY (Berries you can still get large amounts when in season to put up but, you will have to get your order in so I know what to have as I DO NOT STORE FOR MORE THEN ONE DAY ANY BERRIES – NOT SET UP TO DO THAT.

3. On pick up days I will have produce that is sold by the pound in 1#, 3# & 5# packages, herbs and greens sold in oz. will be bagged in 1oz., 3oz. & 8 oz. – pumpkins, squash large items that go by pound will have to be weighed. All will be in the stand out front.

4. Members will have to fill your order (I will help the large groups to fill orders)

5. Members your ledger will be in a mail slot you will record or make sure I do right then the cash amount of produce, herbs, edible flowers, cut flowers you have taken. This will cut down on my paper work and you will know each pick up just how much you have spent of your membership.

6. Cash items are not recorded on your ledger you just pay at time of pick up.

I am going to be posting my list of seed that I plan on ordering this week as members you can send me anything that you may want me to try to add to the list. My herbs I kept this year in the green house are still growing slowly as I picked a half pound of oregano last week so should have rosemary and oregano early this year as well as some greens. I know no one really likes to come out here till April so I am trying to plan for that as I always do have cut flowers, limited amounts of herbs, dandelion greens in April not too many members come out will try to have more greens going in the green house then half way house to add to that list.

I am going to try and add the membership form onto here as well as the cheese and seed list.

I HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH THE COIT RD. FARMERS MARKET (as I use to be a vender there for several years – became too hard to get there and I was in the red every week) AS WE STAY IN CONTACT THEY ARE TIRING TO SET UP THE MARKET AS A CSA MEMBERS PICK UP SITE FOR A NEW OPEN ON MONDAY EVENING SO, IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW MAY BE INTERESTED IN THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS THIS WOULD BE A FACTOR IN THE DECISION MAKING OF RATHER OR NOT TO HAVE THE MONDAY NIGHT MARKET AND CSA PICK UP. THERE IS NOW A SOURCE TO

DO THE PICK UP HERE AT THE FARM AND DELIVER TO THE MARKET TO HELP MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
I will need these orders by Thursday Night Jan. 8th as I will be calling the Order in the 9th - Fri. Morning to make my Pick up On Mon.,Jan. 12th by 5 P.M.
