Happy THANKSGIVING ALL

Well snow was early and hard already. I have spent the last 3 days freezing getting everything in the buildings for the winter. Got the chicken coupe ready for winter. Most of the green house is set up.
So, I have not been taking the time to get on line. Sorry for that.
I did several days of canning and a small amount of freezing trying to this year at last have food for us. As every year I am too busy with the CSA's and fields to get anything done for us.
Put up 58 qt. of grape juice, 21 qt. of Apple Cider, several quarts of frozen veg. Then spent two full days with a friend and we put up about 50 pints of pumpkin and 70 pints of butternut squash. We did some acorn and buttercup. I now have about 40 pints worth of butternut and close to that in Cabbage to can yet this week. As well as a couple of pecks of sweet banana peppers. Did make some sweet pickles out of the few zucchini squash that got some frost damage.
We did about 40 older hens they are in the freezer --- those do come with your membership if you still have money to spend.

Now this week I have to finish the canning and get the house and meal ready for Turkey Day.

ANY MEMBERS WANTING TO GET SOMETHING THIS WEEK I SHOULD BE HERE EVERYDAY EXCEPT TUE.

( I WILL NOT BE HERE TUESDAY AS I HAVE TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO FIND A CAR)
I HAVE PLENTY OF EGGS NOW
OLD SLOW COOK HENS
CALL AHEAD I CAN GET:
KALE
BEETS
SMALL AMOUNTS OF FRESH ROSEMARY
AFTER THE HOLIDAY I WILL BE DIGGING SOME OF THE CARROTS TO SEE HOW THEY ARE DOING. I WILL POST ON HERE IF THEY ARE BIG ENOUGH TO PICK.
